For Christmas, my mother has me order books for the kids. I do this for the birthdays, too, because it is easier for me to keep track of what we have and want. We received our Christmas order today, with a bit of a problem.Barnes and Noble messed up my order slightly. Instead of "Chicka Chicka 123", they sent that children's classic "The Quarterback Killer's Cookbook: A Bit of Bull, Plus Bear, Boar & Buffalo from Football's Best Big Game Hunter". As tempting as it is to give this wonderful book to my four-year-old on his birthday, or better yet, Christmas, my heart's kinda set on "Chicka Chicka 123".
Although the back cover blurbs are intriguing:
"Jared Allen, scourge of the backfield and offender of offensive linemen, is just as forceful and irreverent in the woods or kitchen as he is at teh line of scrimmage..."Wow! Maybe I won't send it back.
"Try the pheasant nuggets with your next batch of sloppy does."
"...you should see him when he's tracking a spear-struck bull elk..."
That sounds...fantastic???

ReplyDeleteI think if you give it to him for Christmas this year you would be preparing him better to cook family dinners. Who needs to learn to count anyway. :)
