Mirror, mirror, on the wall...Em is very into "magic tricks" today. These marvelous tricks involve Momma closing her eyes, and Em grabbing a toy and making it "appear" when Momma opens her eyes. It is not very magical, but it is hilarious. Right now she is doing it in front of the standing mirror in my bedroom. She is more interested in looking at herself than in actually performing for me. (However, I am still required to close my eyes at appropriate intervals.)
All of my children love that mirror (or, really, any mirror). They make faces, they pose, they dance in front of the mirror. Hebs kisses it; wet, slobbery kisses that are such fun to clean off. When Em or Zee come in to our room at night, after they've gone to bed but before we've turned off our light, often they will ask their "vital" question ("Can I have another drink of water?") to the mirror, never once looking at Bradley or me. It is, apparently, a magic mirror, able to make Momma or Daddy change their minds about bedtime.
It is marvelous that you children love to look at themselves in the mirror. When Kaylene first got Mikie, he would not look at himself in the mirror or anyone else at that time. It is a symptom of the RAD. So in case you didn't know, your kids are wonderfully, beautifully healthy.
