For comparison: Approximately one in 2,000 people in the United States has the last name of "Stephens". Are they all unique? The chances that a baby will be born with spina bifida are approximately one in 5,000. Now, my Gee is unique, but not because of his spina bifida. (It's because of his ability to roll his eyes in crazy ways.)
