This is my new addiction--seriously, it is SO divine.
And SO bad for me. I've always been a water person--I have soda at most twice a year (gives me horrible hiccups and heartburn, plus I just don't like carbonation), and I don't drink milk. I enjoy not getting (or even craving) those calories.
But midway through my pregnancy with Mimi somebody gave me some of this Raspberry Lemonade, and it was love at first taste.
And then my grocery store (hi, Macey's!) had it on sale for more than a month. And of course, because my last trimester was during the hot, hot summer, I needed to be careful not to get dehydrated, right? What's a girl to do?
Of course, I have to be careful while I have a sweet nursling, because I don't want to get dehydrated now, either.
Oh, I have a hundred excuses. And I could stop, anytime, you know.
Right after I try the Limeade version.

I LOVE their grapefruit juice! I just don't get it very often.
ReplyDeleteI think that is going to have to be my plan, as well. I just better not buy it, so that I won't be tempted to drink it.
ReplyDeleteBut...I will miss you, raspberry lemonade. (Sadly waves goodbye.)
I LOVE that stuff. Unfortunately, it's instant heartburn. *sigh* My pregnancies have destroyed my esophagus.
ReplyDeleteI am laughing because our family is suffering from the same addiction. When I want a DP I just pour myself a little glass of the Raspberry Lemonade and sip. It's a delight. John is partial to the Limeade. Our WalMart has had it on sale for a month or so. I think they are just getting us hooked then they will jack up the price.
ReplyDeleteGabe and Seth like the containers for taking water to football. One afternoon, Gabe couldn't find his bottle. We had a bottle of Lemonade in the fridge but it was mostly full. He drank the whole thing so he could have the bottle. UGG! He did not feel well, so moderation is key. ;)
Michelle, I think you are totally right about the grocery stores getting us hooked, and then jacking up the price. It's a vast conspiracy, I tell you what.
ReplyDeleteI never realized what perfect water containers they could be! Good idea! Right now, they get put in the recycle bin. They don't stay there, though, because Hebs loves to chuck them down the stairs. Loudly.
