A Sweet Day

I didn't have a lot of expectations for today. Yesterday, Bradley got very sick very suddenly, and I thought for sure he had Influenza B. (Why Influenza B? Because that is what my poor sister Telima has, and she visited us on Wednesday just before it hit. Of course, Bradley was at work the whole time she was here, but I wasn't feeling very logical yesterday.) But whatever he had was over quick, and this morning he woke up feeling mostly fine.

And so today became a marvelous mix of relaxation and doing chores around the house. Bradley fixed the soapdish in the downstairs bathroom, started regrouting around the tub, and even repainted and lowered the banister to the basement.



Zee and Em helped.

I finished up all the laundry, made waffles and smoothies for brunch, cleaned the kitchen, and tidied up the other rooms. We played with bubbles outside. Daddy read to Zee, I read with Em, played ball with Hebs and Gee, and made Mimi laugh and laugh. I played the piano while Bradley played the violin. We watched a movie, caught up on Chuck, and read political stuff to each other.

It was a GREAT day.
