Today thus far

Em's hair brushed, Gee's shoes on, Zee's lunch finished. Wave goodbye to Em, Zee, and Bradley, look for Gee's bus. Clear last night's dinner dishes, put Gee on bus. Get breakfast for Hebs. Sweep dining room floor. Pick up baby toys, mail, and church bags off living room floor. Vacuum living room. Put dishes in dishwasher, wipe off counters and stove. Clean toy room. Get Yum-Yum up, changed, and nursed. Laundry started, beds made. It's 9:15.

Next up: Breakfast for Momma, and try Yum-Yum on some Real Food That Isn't Mashed Potatoes (which is the only thing she willingly allows between her lips, besides Momma's milk).

By the way, Yum-Yum popped out another tooth yesterday. And was a crank ALL DAY LONG. But she actually sleep for hours and hours last night, hooray hoorah!

  1. Sometimes it's good to list what you've done so far for the day, or even write it down at the end of the day. Some days I feel I've done nothing, but when I take the time to list it, I am actually amazed at all the stuff I do, kind of on auto-pilot! : )

  2. This is the stuff that makes most people cry harder at their mother's funeral than at their father's: the day in, day out, careful tending and watching and steadiness and knowing you better than anyone else on the planet. It sounds exhausting and I salute you for doing it with such a cheerful and patient heart (I can definitely understand stay-at-home mothers who get emotionally ground down by the demands and often wonder what kind I would be).
