There is nothing cuter than a pint-sized, pantless Ishmael, running back toward Jerusalem.
We acted out the part in First Nephi about Nephi and his brothers going back to Jerusalem to get Ishmael and his family. Only Ishmael didn't quite understand, and after traversing the hallway and dining room into the wilderness, decided to run back and forth, cackling wildly. And Nephi and Laman held hands all the way back. The voice of the Lord tackled Nephi at one point, I believe.
Instead of being frustrating (we're trying to learn about the scriptures, here!), it was hilarious. And family home evening is just as much about family togetherness as it is spiritual learning, right? We had a successful evening on that front.
