Sisters

My sister LaDale has been visiting this week, and we've had so much fun. Aside from the hideous horrible stomach flu (I was so incredibly sick on Friday and Saturday, and then my Em and my Hebs were sick on Tuesday, along with Telima's baby Bay. So that wasn't so fun.), we've had a very good time. We usually do.

This afternoon Telima, LaDale, and I were laughing so hard we were crying, and I thought: I don't laugh this hard with anyone outside my family. With family, you have shared history and a shared sense of humor. I wish Jenafer (my other older sister) could have been here, then it would have been perfect.

In other news, I finally bought a new baby carseat for Ralphette. Zee's carseat, which we used for Em, Gee, and Hebs, expired. (Yes, carseats expire. We used the old one for eight months after it "expired" for Hebs, but decided that it would be pushing it to use for Ralphette.) So I went out and spent almost $100 on a new carseat for my (likely) last child. Argh. Oh well. Safety first, right?

I'm almost ready for this child! I only need to: find all the infant girl clothes, wash them, find the bassinet sheets, wash them, move Hebs into the boys' room, move Em out of the boys' room into the "new" girls' room, get a new dresser for the girls' room, clean up the girls' room, pack a hospital bag, register at the hospital, and decide on a name for this baby.

  1. I wish I were there, too. Sometimes I feel so left out because you all get to spend so much time together and no one is ever able to come and visit with me. I'm lucky if I get to see you all once a year. I feel so lonely!

  2. I know, Jen. I actually think you have two strikes against you: the drive (ugh 12 hours) and the heat. I hate heat. I totally boycott Vegas in the summertime.

But we will we will we will come visit you sometime. I can't promise when, but we will.

  3. I know, I know. It's not that I don't understand, it's just hard that LaDale makes it to visit you something like twice a year and when she does, the three of you are together. Even if you eventually make it down here, it's still just you and me, not all of us. I really, really, really hope that I can eventually move closer so we can visit all together.

  4. Good point. I wish that the AZ housing market would right itself; that way you guys could have more options. It would be SO amazing if you lived in Utah or Salt Lake County. Think of all the fun we could have!!!
