If this were a livejournal blog, or a myspace page, my mood would be: Annoyed
Every little thing annoys me beyond belief right now. Bad/inattentive drivers? Whiny/loud children? Power outages? Explosive diapers? Hospital labs that won't give me lab results over the phone? Pediatricians who don't call me back with said lab results. (I called at 9am, it is now 6pm.) Still pregnant? ARGGHHHHHHH.
It's a little embarrassing how quickly I go from placid to hugely annoyed, right now. I used to have a lot more control over my emotions.
So! Let's focus on the bright side! No one is pregnant forever. The doctor's office is open tomorrow as well. Children grow out of explosive diapers, and the whiny/loudness is just part of little kids, which eventually they will either grow out of or move away. (Bad drivers, alas, will always be with us.)
Things that don't annoy me: Apricots. We went over to our friends' house and harvested a bunch of apricots with them, and then brought them home and put them in the dehydrator. Not quite 48 hours later, we have a ziplock bag full of yummy dried apricots. My favorite kind of dried fruit, and free! (And I love that the processing is so minimal--just wash, split with your fingers, flick the pit out, squash a little, and voila!)
And beautiful thunder/wind storms don't annoy me, even if they do cause power outages.
(9:28pm, updated to add: The pediatrician just called me--at just after 9pm! Wow. That's probably a pretty long day for him. I'm sorry I was annoyed about it. Results: no parasites, but a little blood in the stool. We're to keep a close eye on him, and do another sample in a week or two. It's probably nothing.)

I know you will not like this, but I hope you hold out until next Monday to have Ralphette. The only reason is because then she will have the cool birthday of 8-9-10. :)
ReplyDeleteI understand the being annoyed. I'm not pregnant and still deal with many of the same issues.
Heh, Ashley. I have said again and again with the pregnancy that there was NO WAY we were going to hit that 8-9-10 birthday...and now, I'm scheduled for an induction on Monday, if I don't go into labor earlier. Crazy.
